The big Halloween article! Of Halloween Shopping!

Just like always, a big round of applause and thanks to the Finishing School of Flail, [livejournal.com profile] maiaarts, and [livejournal.com profile] staxxy for being delightful beta readers and sanity checks.

Also just like always, if you charming people would help spread the word about the new post, that would be Very Helpful. Thank you!

+1 for mentioning the Martha Stewart stuff at Joann. It's so pretty and elegant. There's also a book out that collects projects from a few years' worth of her Halloween magazines and many of those crafts are a joy to look at and a classier, more romantic take on the holiday.

Damn it, I cannot afford the Wisteria Dress. (http://www.kambriel.com/wisteria.html) But I want it so. ;_;

Heck, I can maybe barely afford this one (http://www.pyramidcollection.com/itemdy00.asp?ID=51,268&GEN1=Apparel+&T1=P8873+S&dispRow=0&srccode=#top) from Pyramid Collection. 200 bucks is right out. Alas.

Lots and lots of lovely fun clicky links. Thank you!

Don't suppose you'd be interested in a red one? We have a sample version on hand (made for a photoshoot) that I was going to offer at a discount... And in case you didn't see it posted elsewhere, tonight's the last night all of our one of a kind items are on sale for 50% off with the discount code "Hurrah!".

(Sorry for the interruption ~ just wanted to offer to help out if possible & thanks for the link Jilli!) :)

Unfortunately red looks terrible on me. Any other color, and I'd jump at the offer, even though purple is a color that makes me bounce with glee.

I do appreciate the offer, though. Thank you so much! I've got the purple version and the wisteria choker bookmarked, and hope to afford them soon. They're gorgeous.

Ooh, I never thought to check Sur La Table for Halloween household goodies. Thanks! Those Spooky Lithograph Apothecary Jars (and the related candle holders) are also really nice. Hmm. How much display space do I have again...?

Ah-ha! Bat themed window cling. Last year I was lucky enough to find a glow-in-the-dark specimen depicting a flock of bats and a crescent moon... Unfortunately, as I went to look for another one to have even more bats around, I had to discover they're not sold anymore. Humph.
Another quite elating find were eight plastic cups in pumpkin orange and black for 1,50€. That also was the discount, as the original pricetag set them at 4,99. Yay!
As I'm in desperate need for stripy tights, I will have to keep my eyes open for them.

I don't know if you have a Michael's out there, but their Halloween decor this year is so FARKING EPIC. Everything is frilly gravestones and ravens as far as the eye can see. They have these like...free-standing silver words written in pretty script that say things like "Spooky" and "Creepy" and I just have to have one. There's also a collection of little skeletons dressed like dandies and lolitas and governesses and do you hear my credit card screaming at me? Frills and macabre!

Oh my goodness I HAVE to go to Michaels now. The last I'd been there I got some lovely Madame Delphine charms. Bats and cameos, my favorites!
