I was going to do a little writing, watch a movie, and change out the buttons on a jacket. Those plans, however have changed. Because my copy of Blameless by Gail Carriger has arrived.
Right now I am beset with a horrible temptation to spoil myself for the ending. I think such behavior is wrong, but ... auuugh! I want to know if Certain Situations will be resolved!
Willpower. I have it. Really.

::drowns in envy::
...actually, though, at least as much as wondering about how the cliffhanger ending of book 2 is resolved, I am anxious to know whether Ivy will return to being characterised as a sort of Charlotte Lucas with bad hats, rather than being written like Lydia Bennet. Because I was sorry to see that shift in characterisation - I'd believed they were actually friends, in Book 1, but in 'Changeless' Alexia seemed to view her (and so did we) as an unalloyed nincompoop. I thought that was a shame.
(I'm almost rooting for Madame Lefoux to have her wicked way with Alexia & convert her to the sapphic side of the force, after the turn of events at the end of 'Changeless'.)
