Honestly? A combination of writer/fashion designer/wealthy eccentric. I like to think that I'm actually working toward living that dream.
... which reminds me, tonight I need to do some writing. In addition to packing stuff to mail off to people.

In other news, I am fascinated with the offerings from Etsy seller BloodMilk. (clicky-link!) I especially covet the lydia sparrow claw ring (clicky-link!) (not that I have a finger that doesn't already have a ring on it, but still), and the nevermore claw ritual necklace (clicky-link!). I really, REALLY covet the nevermore claw. Hoo-boy.

I came to it originally through the blog, probably through Haute Macabre or Coilhouse or some such, and only saw the jewelry after I'd been reading for a while. I have a lot like this on my Reader, just random daily pretties that make me smile and drool. :)

Oddly enough, I love to program. Sometimes I wish I were working on something sexier like speech recognition, but I've been hooked on the rush of getting it working for thirty years.
If I never had to sleep, though, I'd be a linguist. I loved studying Japanese, and I've set myself the task of learning before I die what all those little marks in Vietnamese mean.
I miss playing music. Once upon a time I was a hotshot teenage oboist. I also have perfect pitch. Whether I'd do well for long with the struggle & poverty being a musician entails is another question, but it has its attractions.
Sewing for other people would drive me crazy, I think, even if I thought I was good enough to do the job.
