I just found out that my contract position will indeed be extended when it comes up in March. Of course, I'm hoping the Sooper Sekrit Plan will have taken off by then, thus allowing me to politely say "It's been lovely working with you, but I am following a different career path"; however, knowing that I'll still be employed if the Sooper Sekrit Plan dawdles a bit is comforting.

Yay! Very understandable, as having a backup plan is always good.
