The changing weather (noooooo! Not the Burning Orb again!) means that demons have taken over my sinuses. This, combined with PMS, means that I am working from home. And wearing bloomers that have an embroidered patch that says "Cranky", because I can. The Stroppy One, because he loves me, is going to Go Forth and get me an iced double-tall Americano.

Makeup! Oh dear, MAC is releasing a Disney Villains collection. That clicky link leads to a makeup blog with some photos and color descriptions. Let me direct your attention to three particular products:

Maleficent Lipstick

Violetta Violet purple (Amplified) (Permanent at PRO)

Dark Deed Burgundy plum (Amplified) (Limited Edition)

Maleficent Beauty Powder

Briar Rose Soft violet pink with pearl (Limited Edition)

Argh. I do not need more makeup, and honest, I really do know that. Not to mention that MAC has developed a depressing trend of making lipsticks that look great in the tube, but are either brown-toned or just not vivid enough.

Hey, you know what I'm doing next week? Going to see Adam Lambert in concert! Tall, pretty, sparkly pop star! This means I need to make a decision on what I'm going to wear.

My vague plan at the moment is this:

- Lip Service Lolita Candy pink & black striped skirt & cincher (worn over an underskirt, because the LS skirt is shorter than I prefer).

- Black ruffled chemise.

- Black military jacket with pink buttons and pink heart & bat patch on the left arm.

- Glittery black fencenet tights, black granny boots w/ pink laces.

- Hair pulled up, and a black & pink mini top hat.

- Glitter eyeliner, possibly glitter lipstick.

Do I want to wear a cravat?


Okay, time for more editing, more headache meds, and more water. I promise I will try not to give into the urge to drill a hole in my head.

On my last trip to the MAC store one of the artists stopped me to let me know they are going to be doing a HUUUUUUUUUGE event for the Villians collection. Makeup artists from headquarters, hundreds of make over appointments....

I think I'm going to let myself enjoy the anticipation on this one (and save up some money) because I have a good feeling about it.

I've been trying to get my hands on Violetta forever. Also, I wonder if the Heartless lipstick is going to be the cherry red that I love and have so much trouble finding.

This is why I've held off on MAC purchases all summer, despite the dazzleglasses. I need the cash for the Rodarte (http://www.temptalia.com/mac-for-rodarte-collection-for-fall-2010) collection (specifically the lipglasses), and what's this? Fabulous Felines (http://www.temptalia.com/mac-fabulous-felines-collection-for-fall-2010-preliminary-information). Argh.

On a similar note (and I apologise if this is TMI) I gleefully purchased fabulous knickers which have stripes and a picture of the dwarf Grumpy, accompanied by the word GRUMPY in nice big letters: I now officially own Grumpy Pants, and may wear them to my heart's content!

(I also purchased Wonderwoman pants at the same time. YAY AMUSING PANTS!)

...ah, yes. This is why my mother says I will never be an adult. Well, that and the whole Hyperbole and a Half thing. WHICH IS ABSOLUTELY UTTERLY AND TOTALLY TRUE.
