Question first: Where is the best place for me to purchase a LOT of black faceted beads? Probably around 8 - 10 mm in size? Yes, I am going give in and just string my own very long gothy-goth necklace.

Picture! Look at what [livejournal.com profile] girlgoth did!

(Her FB fan page is here.)

Her work (including this picture) will be on display at Norwescon this weekend.

try this link http://www.firemountaingems.com/search.asp?skw=black+faceted

I've gotten things from them before and loved them.

I recommend Fire Mountain as they have great discounts. I also recommend Shipwreck beads. Do a price compare with both to see where the better deal is at the time of ordering. Sometimes one or the other doesn't have black faceted beads that aren't fire polished - the fire polish wears off.

What she said.

I've also sometimes found good deals at Bead Warehouse (http://www.beadwarehouse.com/), but it's kind of random and hit-or-miss as to what's on sale.

shipwreck is actually a very good place to go.

Or there should be a beadshow in April that you can pick them up at for extra cheap.

There is a bead shop up by Judy Fu's. On the other side of the street.
Also there is one in the complex that Azteca is in in Mountlake Terrace.

Do you mean Red Garnet Beads and Buttons, by chance?

Lovely shop. Dangerous shop! They have all kinds of shinies!

*nods* - past Judy Fu's by another 4 blocks or so, in the same plaza as the BEST PLACE to buy cake and candy molds.

No its called Alexanders Bead Bazaar and its at 65th and Roosevelt

Alexander's is godlike for stone beads, but won't really have the large glass beads in quantity.

Try possibly D&I beads (http://www.dibeads.com/). That's where I order from when I wanted large quantities of Czech fire polished glass.

There's also ArtBeads (http://www.artbeads.com/), a local company, especially if you'd want to throw some Swarovski crystal or pearl into the mix for your necklace.

I'd go on a trip to lacy with you for shipwreck. Otherwise I's suggest Fusion Beads on 38thish and Stone way. What exactly are you looking for in regards to a 'gothy necklace' I just made something for goth prom that might work as it's a rosary based chain that wraps around about 2-3 times depending on your intention. But I have no idea exactly what you are looking for. I have no problems with you calling me. 206
