Now that I'm spending 8+ hours a day in front of a computer, it's time to start back up with the

• black pointy-toe t-strap pumps with kitten heels


• black & white stripy stockings


• black satin A-line skirt with lace trim at the hem


• white reproduction Victorian blouse w/ lots of lace at the collar, pinned w/ a bat brooch


• black crushed velvet princess-seam button-front overdress w/ a sweetheart neckline and lacing in the back to make it even more hourglass-shaped


• hair pulled back into a low ponytail held w/ a floofy hair tie made with black lace & black & red spiderweb ribbon


• the usual makeup (eyebrows, eyeliner, mascara, lipstick), and my glasses, because I wasn't up to putting my contacts in at 7:30 this morning




I'm fast becoming a believer in 5-HTP. Last night when we went to bed, my brain started doing its usual random chatter that keeps me from sleeping, and then it stopped. No constant "and this! and this! ooh, how 'bout this song! no, wait, this one!" that I can't seem to shut up. I just tried to concentrate on one image, and it actually worked.

(I'm sure there are those of you reading this who are thinking "Yeah, what's the big deal about that?" Count yourself very, very lucky. Some of us can't make our brains shut up when we try and sleep.)

So far, no odd side-effects. No, weaselmom, I have not started growing a tail or horns.

I'm very impressed with the research i've been doing on 5HTP. It's good to hear from a real person that it works too :)
I personally can't shut my brain up when i go to sleep, which i probably why i have such vivid dreams complete with smell-o-vision and audible dialogue. Body shuts down, brain gives me a movie to watch while the batteries recharge. Kinda curious if the 5HTP would cut that down some and also help the wacky monthly mood swings (if my new pill doesn't cure that). Going to ask my doc about it this week because of my heart murmur and high bp stuff.

I think if you start growing anything new, it would be bat wings.

Anyway, do you want to put holes in the backs of all her dresses to allow the wings to poke out? I picture them as 2 8" button holes on the back.
