Tomorrow morning at 6:30 AM (iiiiieeee!), I will be on The Menage. The whole thing will be webcast at www.1150KKNW.com, for those of you who want to watch and see how coherent (and charming, I hope!) I can be after staying up all night.

---

Last night, I deliberately stayed up until about 3AM. As in, didn't go to bed until then, instead of going to bed around 1-1:30 and being awake for ages. It was odd; it was productive writing time for me (yay!), but it felt very strange to be awake and doing things after the Stroppy One had gone to bed. Tonight, obviously, I'm not going to bed at all. My plan is to stay up until about 10:30 tomorrow night, and hope that this whole thing helps reset my body clock to a more daylight-friendly schedule.

I'll be sending good thoughts your way for the interview :)

My internal clock is way off ~ it thinks I'm still in Paris or Madrid, and isn't paying attention to anything else I may ever so politely try to explain to it...

Have fun finding distracting things to do as far as staying up goes. If it were me, since you're used to going to bed a bit earlier, I might consider taking an hour or two long nap soon-ish, before it gets too late and *then* stay up the rest of the night. You might be thankful for that hour or two later ;)

Oh, I can only imagine how off your internal clock is right now!

I thought about taking a nap, but sadly I am not a nap person. The only time I'm able to take a nap and fall asleep is when I'm falling-down exhausted.

The worst was earlier this week when I was fully awake by 3:30 am. My schedule's all over the place right now ~ thank goodness for being self-employed!

I'm not a good napper either ~ I wish I could be though. When it's too short a period of time to get any "real" sleep, my brain just ends up thinking about 100 different things instead and doesn't allow itself to relax knowing the clock is ticking away and I'd have to get up soon anyway. The night before travelling is a hard one for the brain "quieting down" as well. Like you, I pretty much just go until I hit the point of exhaustion a lot of the time.

Do you have any plans for occupying yourself during the extra hours tonight? I vote random YouTube searches ~ who knows what treasures could be lurking in there ;)

I've tried that resetting to the inner clock thing. It can be a horrible pain. I recommend lots of caffiene!

Best of luck on both staying up and your interview! I'll be listening for sure, while I spend the day baking Halloween goodies.

hmmm there is no website at the address, that I could find. What am I missing?

Count one more listener! Although I second the website nonexistence...I googled it but there are apparently a lot of urls that end with "1150.com."

To reset your circadian rythms watch a sunrise and then watch a sunset. The body knows.

As for napping, it doesn't matter if you sleep during a nap. If you just relax and follow your breathing for about twenty minutes you can refresh yourself.

Good energy for your gig.

1) Break a leg!
2) I just missed the show. Can you give us the name of the show or post a link to the archive when it's up?
