Firstly, a link for you people. The sweet girl who is writing the Gothic Charm School fanfic has put it up on her myspace in her blog: http://www.facebook.com/l/a5a16;Myspace.com/juliet1818
I'm still just tickled by the notion of GCS fanfic. But then, I don't have fourth wall issues AND have accepted that I'm somewhat of a cartoon character. (But thank goodness it's G-rated! No, I DON'T want to read R-rated (or stronger!) fic featuring myself, thanks.)
I have to admit, I have, off and on through the years, toyed with the notion of writing GCS novels. You know, some sort of YA series about the students of Gothic Charm School, what it's like to attend it, wacky hijinks galore. But I always realize that I'd need to write a highly-caricatured version of myself, and that would lead straight to the special hell of Mary Sue-ism. ::shudder::
---
So anyway, the plague. On the plus side, I don't ache AS much as I did yesterday, and I feel a bit better. On the minus side, I'm still coughing, I'm incredibly tired, and moving off of the couch makes me dizzy. The Stroppy One still shows no signs of succumbing to whatever this is, thank goodness. Both of us being sick would be awful and unbearable.
How are all of you folks doing? I do like all the comments; they make me feel less isolated here on the plague couch.

As for your enquiry as to how I am, I am looking at some won ebay purchases and going "Oh god did I just buy 30 new CDs?" - the dangers of finding too many great bargains at the same time!

Here? Up to my neck in dying everything I can some kind of ghostly grey as I've just agreed to become an actor at a huge haunted attraction here and I got to make up my own character and choose my room which fills me with all sorts of delight, even if there's grey paint everywhere now. The birthday week has been good as surprises keep coming in the mail and Laura (friend and photographer) had the store make me PopTart green sugar cookies with spiderwebs on top! If I were closer, I drop by to see you and bring you some!

As for me, I'm doing pretty darn well. I got raise at work . . . I still work part time, but a raise is a raise! I do need new work pants . . . and perhaps save up monies for some gothy goodies. I think I might just get that GCS necklace, it's pretty. Also, my dad found a crisp, near mint condition, Canadian one dollar bill. Yes, apparently we use to have those! And is is stored in a particularly pretty small wooden box decorated with Koi fish and flowers. It has a slight Steam punk vibe to it.

Apple came out with new Nanos: http://www.apple.com/ipodnano/. I covet. I especially want the fuchsia one. I'm toying between just heading down to the Bellevue Apple store now, or ordering it online (and getting the free engraving). I should do the wise thing and order it, but I'm feeling cooped up on this nice hot and sunny day.

In black, of course. :)
Although! I did see an advert on Ebay for some jet beaded appliques. However, I don't think I shall buy them. It would only encourage the little fingers and little claws to rip them off. I hope to make beaded appliques of my own, but for less expense. Someday.

I plan on ordering a top hat from Display and Costume, like you said. Anywhere else I should look?
Feel better soon! Being sick is never fun. <3

I'm doing well, all things considered, save that I have to collect my drums and get together with my old band to practice for a memorial show. And I'm hungry. Aside from that, things are good here.
The GCS fanfic does sound interesting; maybe I'll have a read of it one of these days when I'm online away from The Job.
Feel better soon!

Treat the symptoms (Headaches, stuffies, Etc.), Move about very slowly and carefully, Ask for help when you need it, And lots of clear fluids and rest.
I am hoping that you will be up and around in no time. Hand washing is also a must!

The fanfic is adorable! How cute it that? I'm glad it made you gleeful, and I hope it made you feel a bit less plauge-y.

If the usual cold remedies aren't helping, you could always try absinthe!

You aren't isolated. You are semi-quarantined. Your physical presence is locked away, but your mental and spiritual presence is out among the rest of us, playing dress up on the internet, skipping and dancing. Just because your BODY isn't up for it, it doesn't mean your SPIRIT ever stops. :)

Take care of yourself, dear!
I have to feel at least well enough tomorrow to go to my own "surprise"
birthday party.

Oh my, someone needs a beta reader. The exclamation mark abuse is frightening. I can see the potential here, though...it is rather a cute story. On to chapter two!

I don't know how much good it will do you but maybe you should try some leek soup? I don't recall it ever making me completely healthy but it certainly never made me feel worse.
I'm doing good. There hasn't been work lately so I've been busying myself with other things. I've finally completed my casket case. Yesterday I went hiking around Maple lake where I found some fuzzy acorns, and tomorrow I'm going to Celtic fest here in Chicago.
