Small black cat, Jack Skellington blanket, laptop, [livejournal.com profile] clovisdvlbunny, and World War Z.

If I felt better, this would be a great time to do some writing. Of course, if I felt better, I wouldn't be stranded on the couch.

I will be passing by my town's libary Monday, and I have books to return .. . I might just have to borrow that book!

I like creepy . . . a book series that I just finished reading was pretty creepy (The Keys to the Kingdom by Garth Nix), it is young adults, but very well written. Very Steampunkish/goth like as well.

Don't neglect the tea!

Other than that, you look all set for coping with the plague. Feel better soon!

Don't worry, I've had lots of tea. And juice and water. Now if I would stop feeling so wretched ...

You're the second person on my friend's page that has been reading World War Z whilest ill.

And I don't have many people/groups listed there. Hmm.

And if makes you feel less wierd, fanfic based on your work doesn't nessesarily mean you have hit the big time. It just means you have fans.

I'm actually kind of tickled that there's fanfic based on my work, because while I don't consider myself *active* in fandom, I hang out on the fringes of it.

World War Z is, hands-down, the best zombie book ever written. It is enormous in its scope, and it pulls it off.

i love that book, and did you know they're making a movie adaptation?

From: [identity profile] cupcake-goth.livejournal.com

I've heard about the movie adaptation! I'll admit I'm a little skeptical, because the scope of the book is so huge! I don't know if a movie would be able to do it justice.

A friend just lent me the book to read. And I think its adorable that cats always look after their sick owners

From: [identity profile] cupcake-goth.livejournal.com

I think it's because the cats want to steal body heat. But that's okay, because it means they'll snuggle around me.

You stay comfy!
I'm off to see the vampires again (I beg their pardon, the phlebotomists)
Doctor was so unhappy with my blood test yesterday that I have to be stabbed again today. If results aren't better today I shall have to go in and be put on a drip for a night at the hospital, yugh! I am feeling better so I hope it won't come to that.

Just got back from blood test and it went much easier than the multi stabbing attack yesterday. She managed to find the vein straight away which I hope means I am already less dehydrated and getting better.

No such luck!
Off to hospital to get put on a drip. Ah well.

World War Z is an excellent book.
Have you read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies? another great one!

From: [identity profile] botgrrrl.livejournal.com

I loved WWZ and his Zombie Survival Guide. His style allows the characters to be desparate without being super angsty.

However, his knowledge of fire arms and military standard practices is very poor. That sometimes pulled me out of the moment in the book as just showing poor research.

However, once we got past those bits, I was able to dive in again.

Since you are under quarantine, we probably won't see you tonight. Get better soon.
