The Closet Culling Sale is being POSTPONED.

Those allergies I've been fighting off? Weren't allergies. I appear to have some form of flu. Local folks, consider myself and the Stroppy One quarantined. (EDITED TO ADD: The Stroppy One is NOT showing any signs of being unwell. But he's not going to go do any socializing, just in case.)

Dammit, dammit, dammit. As soon as I'm well, the clothing sale will happen.

Well, darn! I do hope you get better soon darling!

Also, currently I am reading a book series that contains lots of people in bio-hazard suits . . . I'm sure they make gothy bio-hazard suits, rihgt?

Drink tea and soup!

They used to be made of aromatic polyamide, which is a polite way of saying that the fabric they are/were made from really, really smells horrible, at least it used to in the 80's, they may have better materiels now. Some of the accessories are definitely gothy

Like goggles! and I'm sure they come in black (yes yes, cliche, but I don't think a company makes one with frills . . . though that might sell, a bio suit with lace) And I am sure one could spray paint some pretty pictures on those ugly things to pretty them up, ya like spiders, bats, hearts, stars and moons, stuff like that. to pretty them up.

I googled bio hazard suits, and some lovely looking silver ones came up! Think what one could do with black electrical tape!

Ask Stroppy One to chop up an entire bulb of garlic. Put in small oven proof dish and pour half a jar of honey over it. Cook in oven on low heat 2 hours. Mix with equal quantities of vodka and strain out bits. Sip as required. I promise it does not taste as weird as it sounds.

I approve of this formula! I would add a bit of cinnamon and possibly ginger, in the serving stage, however. a

Really? It sounds kind of gruesome, but at the same time strangely appealing. I may ask the Stroppy One to make it.

I hope you feel better immediately!

If you feel better Sunday, you're still welcome at the Embassy; though if you feel unwell, I thoroughly understand and appreciate the quarantine. Let me know if you need a drop-off of food, especially if Pete starts sickening too...

I would be amazed if this clears up by Sunday. We'd still love to come but I'm not confidant it'll happen.

The fever kinda gave that away. We'll just have make another time to bring you guys over - whether you like it or not! ;-)

Darn! Well, I will just have to sit on my money for a little longer

Feel Better! Sending hugs, tea and soup.

Welcome to Flu-land. :[

Over here my roommate and I are having a Flu-Death party. In bed with laptops, a pot of tea, and vegetarian chicken noodle soup, taking care of each other.

Hope you feel better!

Take care of yourself (and the Stroppy One), plus all the usual sick advice, plenty of sleep, drink your OJ, etc.

Oh, damn. Hope you recover and feel better soon.

Nooo! Don't be sick! As Neens would say, be the other thing! Here's hoping it's something relatively benign that can be warded off with garlic-honey-vodka (the hell?) and vampire novels.

Don't forget: Tonight at 8P on channel 11 is the season premiere of Vampire Diaries and then at 9P it's SPN! The High Holy Day is here!

I'm of two minds of the garlic-honey-vodka thing. On the one hand, it sounds a little gruesome. On the other hand, it sounds strangely appealing at the moment.

Believe me, I have a stack of new vampire books to read. I'm just concerned that I'm too fuzzy-brained to be able to follow them.

and yes, I am planning on watching Vampire Diaries (the books were silly, but fun) and SPN. Because dippy paranormal-ish teevee sounds about the right speed for me at the moment.

Well, if what I just had was flu and not just a garden-variety cold, you'll be feeling two-thirds better in three or four days, but it does leave you tired. I spent the last four days sleeping.

Hope you feel better soon!

From: [identity profile] kambriel.livejournal.com

Poor thing! I truly hope it's not the flu :( Fingers are duly crossed for Pete not to come down with any symptoms... it's *horrid* when both people are knocked out.

Please feel better soon...

From: [identity profile] arabwel.livejournal.com

Eep! Hope you recover speedily and with the least amount of discomfort! Application of lots of tea and fluffy blankets is my suggestion.

From: [identity profile] bork.livejournal.com

I'm also ill, and hoping it's just a regular cold instead of H1Nerd1.
