clicky link error!

Miss Lynx’s information about sunblock ingredients reminded the Lady of the Manners of a website that she finds very useful: < "a href=http://www.makeupalley.com/">Makeup Alley.

Thank you so much for the excellent advice on Goths and aging gracefully. At 45 I am always looking for ways to NOT end up looking like Betty Davis in "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane". This is really an issue for me since I am blond and unable to color my hair because of hair color allergies. That and I am happy being blond regardless of the non-gothiness of it:)

Would a column on being a blond goth be a good suggestion?

Thanks again,

Rebecca W.

For what it is worth, I have always been of the opinion that blond is a perfectly legitimate hair color for goths. :)

really, I don't think gothness is defined by hair color at all.

I agree completely. Appearances can be deceiving...all those dark haired beauties in the goth scene make it seem like black/dark brown or the occasional red or multicolored streaks are THE colors goth types choose. I know I have seen a number of Marilyn Monroe blond types about. It is nice to see ladies who wear natural shades as well as un-natural:) Back when I was just a youngster in the 1980s, black hair was pretty much THE thing. I did it with a modified mowhawk and looked terrible. It will be fun to see what other older goths do to deal with the aging gracefully issue.

You were totally right. Actually reading those infernal books would have been too much, the synopses were **far** more entertaining. Heh, and I thought cesareans were barbaric in a hospital...
(and no, I'm not judging anyone who's had one, but seriously, watch a video of one being performed sometime and tell me that externalizing the uterus to suture isn't just a wee bit squicky)
