Today's important question: how small CAN I compact the giant petticoat and skirt for packing? Hello giant ziplock, help me out here.

Since I will be in PDX for barely 24 hours, I don't want to lug the giant suitcase with me. The problem is, my outfit for Vespertine is ... well, it's one of my outfits. So, fluffy. Voluminous. And with a velvet coat. (Cotton short-pile velveteen, actually, so I don't need to worry about it getting crushed in transit.)

. . . safety pins! I need to make sure I have a bunch with me! And one of my little waist pouch purses, because I have no pockets in this outfit, and I can't ask the StuntHusband to carry everything! (Well, I can, but I won't do that to him.)

Yes, this is my scattered stream-of-thought while getting ready for an event. Go on, look surprised.

This is how we know you're not a service top.

Love compression bags for packing. The kind you role the air out of like Eagle Creek. Nice to keep dirty laundry away from clean clothes. too.

I'm secondin this thought. It made packing-to-ship 2 quilts a lot easier, too. (one for daughter, one for HER daughter)
