calling an employee "high maintenance," is unwarranted when the only reason the employee was in your office constantly was because they either didn't HAVE a direct manager, or were having problems with the direct manager they did have. That, boys and girls, is called the employee trying to get direction and clarity.

Some managers need to understand that. Those same managers need to understand that there is more to team management than hiding in their office and/or flirting with the cute little blond intern girl.

grrrrrr. Moral High Ground. Moral High Ground. I'll just keep repeating this, which MIGHT keep me from hunting down someone and shrieking invective at them.

What's wrong with flirting with the cute little blond intern girl?

I do it every chance I get.

Oh, nothing is wrong with flirting with the cute blond intern girl. Unless that is the only thing the manager does, and then tries to blame the team's (and employee's) lack of direction on the people who don't have any control over it.

The blond intern girl is actually a very nice person. I just wish The Mangaer wasn't so distracted by her. ;P
