Good news! I just accepted a job offer from Isilon! As of April 16th, I'll be a technical writer for them. GAINFUL EMPLOYMENT IS MINE! Thanks for all the good wishes, folks!
In a word: manuals. Usually instruction or ISO 9001-compliant safety manuals, but also sometimes "policies and procedures" things. It's harder than it sounds because sometimes you go in without any foreknowledge of the subject matter, then you have to get straight answers from everyone AND have it make sense on paper to the intended audience; I'm told contractual tech writers tend to charge an "aggravation fee" to account for all the migraines, heh.
Unrelatedly, I don't have "extra" Carmilla in the sense of having a full ready-made container I can give you. But I do have more than I am likely to use and can create a bag or jar for you.
