What I wore:

Yes, I recently made a bat chiffon overskirt. The back panel of the skirt is covered with tiers of bat chiffon ruffles.
What I blew all my spending money on (spending money that was not set aside for the tattoo!):

A necklace made by Professor Maelstromme! (clicky-link!) Antique lace, a hand-painted image, and an antique straight razor. I've wanted something from Professor Maelstromme for AGES, and was delighted to finally meet her in the Steamcon vendors' room.
Alas, there is no trip to Steamcon for me today: the past week was ridiculously busy, and I am still not very good at pacing myself. The Lyme disease and gift-with-purchase maladies have made it clear that I am STAYING HOME today. Ugh. But I had fun on Friday and Saturday!

Hoping you feel stronger tomorrow. My CFIDS has been kicking my butt. Just finding the energy to get through a week has been proving more and more difficult.

stunningly brilliant bit of wit and writing, this. Well put.
Both the skirt and necklace are lovely, as are you.
Rest, fluids, bath, rest, fun! (watch something that makes you laugh), rest, good nutrition (protein and vitamins and some carbs too), and tea. When the maladies act up, treating them much like the flu is often the best way to move forward. :)

My fibro and RA are kicking my ass. The only way I was able to do the con was by virtue of lots and lots of vicodin, and I am freaking paying for it now. I sympathise, muchly. <3

Ugh, stupid medical conditions that make us pay for fun times. I am so unamused by them.

I knooooow. :( And the people who try to say that these conditions don't get worse over time? LIE. I was amazed I was able to handle dancing for a little while at the DJ thing but, gah, it is requiring copious amounts of vicodin to handle the after-effects. Totally worth it, though!
At least the main cons I intend to go to are at opposite times of the year so I can spread out the pain a little more. Do you go to Norwescon, out of curiosity? :)
