I am still haunted by my longing for a skirt in this print:

From the Vampire Requiem line, by Alice and the Pirates. It probably wouldn't fit me, and when it was released it was over $200. Now, it's considered rare (and is the dream print for a lot of people in the EGL community), and pieces from that line go for INSANE amounts of money.

But every time I see a photo of the ivory colorway of the print, I sigh.

Ohhh. Pretty. Is there a close-up of the print?

It is so lovely. A skirt in this print would be amazing.

Create your own fabric in a similar style, then make one in your size. http://www.spoonflower.com/welcome

*Sighs* I love that dress and skirt, I'd love one in each red and blue.
There was a replica made on Taobao I think. Have a look on EGL, there was a post about it. It's not too pricey either, and as far as I know most Taobao shops do custom sizing :)

This was going to be my suggestion as well. Now taking skirt art for Christmas presents?

Argh, replicas. I'm very conflicted about the ethical issues surrounding them. I don't like the idea of ripping off the work of other people, but I WANT THAT PRINT.

(Also, the fabric looks more tan than ivory.)

Oh believe me, making a gothy-goth print design is on the To Do List of a certain artist. When he'll have the free time to do it, I have no idea.

I've seen the EGL posts about the replicas. But as I said above, I'm conflicted about replicas. (Plus, it looks like the main producer of replicas for Vampire Requiem hasn't nailed the ivory colorway yet.)

I'd like that exact dress, actually, but possibly without the bow on the bodice.

T^T I feel your pain, girlfriend..

I've been hunting down the wine long version of this jumperskirt for ages!!!
T^T I absolutely adore it!
You could get a replica if you really wanted it?

Re: T^T I feel your pain, girlfriend..

Ah, disregard! I just read the other comments. I feel conflicted about the replicas too.
Especially seeing as they're not quite that same beautiful red!

Aye, normally I'm conflicted too, but I really just love that print. *dreams that someday I will win the lottery and get each colour*

I wouldn't normally promote a replica, but since Baby just will not make my size, I have no other option outside of just not getting it. I'm getting one.

They do custom size as well.

And as a designer that does custom size, I just have to say if certain brands would just offer an extended size range I would agree that all replicas are bad. I personally would be pissed if someone got a replica of one of my items since I've made items as small as a 0 and as large as a 4x. Once people get their shit together and realize that everyone of all sizes deserve to feel beautiful, I will jump on the 100% no replicas bandwagon. Until then, I'm at about a 90% no replicas platform.

Hmmm. No ivory, but they DO have a black version of the skirt. That's kind of tempting.

What color are you getting? Will you please let me know what you think of the replica when you get it? Pretty please? :)

Either blue or black. I will let you know :) I will likely order it in September.
