I've hit the point where I need to start seriously planning my outfits for C9. I figured I'd post my tentative list here, for the amusement of all. Be amused by reveling in floofy clothes, be amused by my dithering. Either is fine by me.
Thursday night
Black stretch velvet frock coat w/ lace gores in the skirt & Venice lace hem, worn over a poet's blouse in cream satin and lace and a giant skirt (huge white ruffly skirt? purple velvet skirt? red velvet circle skirt?). A waist cincher may be involved. I will probably wear my top hat.
Friday day
Black satin batwing point skirt w/ b&w swirly fabric underskirt, white short-sleeved men's dress shirt, black silk tie, black satin waist cincher. I'll either wear my hair up in spiky buns, or wear my big black straw hat with the bat-patterned chiffon draping and bow.
Friday night
I still don't know. My red velvet circle skirt and black velvet batwing hem jacket w/ the red inner sleeves? Something involving a corset? Aaauugh!
Saturday day
Black satin batwing point skirt w/ pink satin underskirt, black muslin chemise, and either the long black lace frock coat, the black lace & feather hem coat, or (if I get the alterations done) the pink lace w/ black lace trim & buttons frock coat. Hair will be pulled up under the big black straw hat with the bat-patterned chiffon draping and bow.
Saturday night
Giant white tiered ruffle skirt, white men's dress shirt, black silk tie, white corset w/ black trim. Hair pulled up under black & white dread falls.
Sunday day
Black linen batwing jacket, b&w stripey satin skirt, big black straw hat with black chiffon draping and b&w stripey satin bow.
Sunday night
Giant ruffly black bat-patterned chiffon skirt, black ruffly chemise or blouse, black patent leather & fuchsia glitter vinyl corset. Maybe the top hat.
This is all, of course, subject to change on a whim or The Husband looking at the outfit and going "hmmm. Not quite."

Of course, reading this make me look at my closet and weep. Where are the foofy maternity clothes goshdarnit?!?!?

I'm thinking that for Friday night, I may skip corseting in favor of wearing the PVC governess uniform. Comfy, easy to put on, and show-stoppingly cool.
Did I mention that I should have my custom-designed batwing-shape sunglasses in time to wear at C9? grin
