Should I bid on a black-with-pink-pinstripes stretch velveteen jacket on Ebay UK, even tho' the seller has not replied to my question about if they would ship to the US? Because black-with-pink-pinstripes, ooh!

---

I am working at home for half the day today, and then am on vacation for a few days for socializing, wheee! The two best things about working from home: sleeping in, and the Stroppy One venturing forth to go get really good coffee.

---

No, I still haven't gotten replies to the emails I was wound up over. But! I called one of the people in question, got the feedback I needed, and made sure that my emails did get to them and didn't just vanish into the aether. So yay.

---

I will have bound proofs of the GCS book soon! ::flails excitedly::

I'm sure if she won't ship to the US, one of your many readers would ship it to you !

Love, what is your waistline these days? I'm going through corsets and have a few pretty pink ones, but I don't want to waste your time if they wouldn't fit.

There is one listed in my journal right now, might be on the smallish side for you (depends on how much of a gap you prefer, or no gap), but I think I have a few more which might interest you. I also have a tan suede busk-less corset with buckle back closure rather than lacing which I'm debating letting go- it's a smidge too big for me, and I just so rarely wear it anymore. I tend to wear base-layer corsets when I wear them. Pittsburgh isn't a dressing-up city, and corsets don't play well with working in a bakery and digging in the garden, y'know? I will say that I'm flexible on my pricing on anything I may list for sale, especially when I know things are going somewhere to be loved.

oh, and by the way, you realize that after you posted about the Aromaleigh Twilight powders that I went and ordered the whole set in samples, right? Their foundations and I don't get on, but this stuff... yeah. It's pretty awesome. And I've been the girl who doesn't wear makeup much anymore lately.

No, you shouldn't. You have enough jackets that you don't need to deal with an unresponsive seller who might not even send it to you if you do win.

What if I promise to get rid of ... 2 other jackets, to make room for this one?

(blaaaaaaack aaaaand piiiiiink pinstripes!)

P.S. You left your coat here the other night.

I wondered what I'd done with my coat. It's the time of year when I do that. Terrible habit -- I really should stop leaving a trail like that everywhere I go when the weather changes.

You shouldn't buy anything from an unresponsive vendor who might not ship to you.

You should stop by for baby huffing.

it always makes me wary when a seller doesn't respond to questions, it seems like an omen of bad things to come.

If you want to get it sent to me, I can send it on for you :)

eBay sellers who don't respond to questions about what they're selling are a big "red flag" to me.

Really, if they had it together, the listing should already SAY where they will and won't ship to.

Oh, and just because I'm a butt, Google has a message for you, Ms. Editor:

Did you mean: quandary

Argh. Why yes, that would be one of the words I always spell incorrectly on the first try.

If they state in the auction "ships to United Kingdom" and haven't replied I wouldn't bid. It'll just cause a problem for the seller.

I've done this before and luckily the seller caved in but it can cause bad blood.

Have a friend in the UK? If so have them bid for you.
