Of Serious Matters Such As Harassment And Bigotry. And Vampires.

(This was one of the most depressing GCS lessons I've ever written. Yes, even with the vampires.)

Drinks, cupcakes, and sparkly bats are offered in gratitude to [livejournal.com profile] staxxy and the Finishing School of Flail, for being their usual awesome selves.

Speaking of usual awesome selves, if you delightful people could do your usual nifty thing of spreading the word about the new lesson, that would make me very happy. Thank you!

Jeeeezus, that second letter was especially tough.

Enjoy some well-earned guilt-free brownies!

Perhaps we can persuade your entire dojo to go down there and whup some sense into them. Cathartic and for the betterment of the species.

I think there's a missing end-italics tag after Beetlejuice. I hope you're feeling better now!

Oh, Lord, that second letter sounds like my goddessdaughter in high school. If a whup-ass expedition and extraction is being organized, I'm coming with.

Evaria had similar, but not as extreme, experiences in high school, thanks to a principal with a god complex. Fortunately, the rest of the school district administration could smell a lawsuit coming, and she was moved to an area where she didn't interact with students or their parents. Now, she doesn't work there at all.

typo at the end of the 4th paragraph, second letter - you closed with a comma instead of a period.

also, I said it in the proof email but it bears repeating -

these were both incredibly tough letters to answer and you have done a brilliant job. You are one of the best things a person can ever hope to be - a compassionate genius. It's no wonder that so many people adore you.

Many would shy away from answering such tough letters and act like they didn't get them at all. Not you! You are splendid because of that and while I sympathize that that's really tough stuff to have to deal with I'm glad they had a place to ask about such things and get a reasonable answer without being mocked.

Thank you for this lesson. I am going through something similar. At my college it feels more like a high school with all it's cliques. And, I'm ostracized for being the way I am. But, I've made up in my mind I'm not going to change. My Mother was supportive of me saying, "Is it worth giving up your soul for the approval of those who will never care about you?".
