My mom's a counselor who used to work with high school kids, and she once asked me, if I could tell high school kids anything, what would it be? My answer?
"Of all the people you know right now, six months after you graduate you won't remember any of their names."
...apparently not everybody thinks that's an uplifting message for some reason.
indeed. I also have helped affirm that they are the ones who get to decide who they are now, and will be in the future. Both of them have parents that have instilled all of these messages into them from an early age.
You are both so cute! I think that the good was far better than the bad: you got a wonderful husband out of it!
I got a GREAT paycheck and got to meet and travel I love to see my photos from back then. So much thinner. *sigh*
I love that there you are, cute skirt, top hat and you look like the Jilli we know now. I think it is an inspiration that we Goths/Freaks/whatevers can look the way we want and be gainfully employed. (well not me anymore, but still)
I always like to tell the younger generations that they really can look any way they want and its better in the long run than trying to conform with kids they hate.

Granted, they are both alterna-kids (the latter goth, the former well... mostly just herself and not into any style really).
