I listened this morning - with some hilarity - to the NPR story about the bemused residents of Forks, who now get to deal with the sparkly-vampire tourists, many of whom seemed, well, unable to adequately separate fantasy from reality. It makes me think of the 12 -year-old girl Cathleen and I saw weeping over Jim Morrison's grave in 1994. Afterwards, Cathleen admitted that she had really had wanted to say, "you know, Val Kilmer's still alive". . .

Obligatory geek confession: I went out to eat "damn fine pie" at the R&R, back in the days of "Twin Peaks". It was damn fine pie. But I had no illusions that I was going to run into Agent Cooper (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001492/).
