(Hi LJ, welcome back.)

Thank you for all the birthday wishes, everyone! Yesterday (my actual birthday) was low-key and a perfect wrap-up to the extended birthday celebrations. So far, 40 feels no different from my 30s.

BPAL just announced their anniversary scents. Yes, Candy Phoenix ("a dusky, yet effervescent mix of pomegranate and black currant candies, with a dusting of sugared pear and white apple") sounds interesting, but. BUT.

"2008's Resurrected scents are:

BEAVER'VERSARY
Cheesecake and cupcakes, yo! This is Beaver Moon 2005 resurrected!"

BEAVER MOON 2005, PEOPLE. ONE OF MY TWO TRUE SCENTS FROM BPAL. I need to figure out how much money I am willing to blow on my perfect perfume. Beaver Moon 2005 is the scent that when I wear it, people want to follow me around and huff my skin. When I go home tonight, I will check to see how many bottles I have currently, and then dither about how many more I need. (Yes, need.)

All right, now you've got my curiosity up. I must smell this Beaver Moon. So far I've studiously avoided the BPAL cult, but it's probably inevitable that I'll succumb.

What was the BPAL scent you were wearing on your birthday Vogue night?

Beaver Moon 2005, with a smidge of Bliss (which is milk chocolate). See?! This is why I need to stock up on Beaver Moon!

Belated happy birthday.

Also I find it hilarious that Beaver Moon is one of your awesome scents. It also works really well for my friend [livejournal.com profile] bbbsg. She finds in particular it makes the laaadies follow her around. She is also a fellow cupcake maker/lover.

I thought I'd weaned myself of my BPAL fling (I've been opting for an off-rand spice blend called Gypsy Queen for the last year) but BeaverVersary threatens to suck me back in. Oh foody blends. I dost love thee.

I did not realize you were a fellow foody perfume person! I've been on a quest for the perfect chocolate cupcake perfume for AGES.

Having an image like this associated with *you* is mildly unsettling.

(So far, I like my 40s way better than my 30s. Then again, I have a feeling I'll like my 50s better than my 40s. And so it goes.)

Hee! I did a dance of joy about the computer room last night when I saw Beaver Moon '05 was back! SQUEE!!! Now I just need to plot and plan how many bottles I can afford to buy without getting my lights turned off and evicted, hehe.

Yea for cupcake perfume! :D

I have a bottle of the original Beaver Moon too, and no matter how much weeding out I've done of my BPAL's over time, that one always remains :)

Ooh, thank you so much! Let me know how much I owe you, otherwise I have an idea of something I could send :)
