I'm thoroughly astonished that any school board would go to such lengths to present a Pleasantville-of-the-00s image... and thoroughly relieved that unless, several years down the road, I decide to complete my degree, school is far behind me.

1. There is a "dying" that should be "dyeing" in the text of the link about the pink-haired young lady.

We were at the Southcenter Jo-Ann on Saturday, and in the Halloween section found *two* black poplins with pink spiders on them. The spiders on one are pink lace print; on the other, they're pink glitter. We both immediately said, "cupcake_goth needs to know about this."

As a young Goth I must say this is a wonderful article, very true and helpful. I also just want to say for the next article: striped stocking of any colour are a must have for Goths of any kind.

My friend Rain's 14-year-old daughter just moved to a school district that requires KHAKI pants or skirts, white or black blouses/tops, no fun jewelry, no fun socks, etc. Poor kid.

She said to her mother, "KHAKI puts BARS around my HEART!"

Can't wait for her to graduate and get out of there :(
