I cannot seem to wake up today. Last night's sleep seemed okay, but in hindsight was obviously defective. Which is most of the reason why I'm cranky, because feeling overwhelmingly tired is not something I enjoy.

Contributing to the cranky is the discovery that I do not like the jacket I am wearing as much as I thought I might have when I got dressed this morning. Note To Self: You really do prefer waist or just-above-hip length jackets nowadays, unless they're the perfect batwing-hem jackets BlueJay made for you. Splitting the side seams of longer jackets so they lay properly over your petticoats, while of some help, doesn't entirely fix things because you are a short-waisted mutant. Not to mention the shoulders of this jacket are a smidge too large, because you are also a mutant with teeny-tiny shoulders. Taking in the shoulders may be beyond your sewing skills. Hmmph.

Okay, now a list of cheering things going on in cupcake-goth-land, in an attempt to defuse my cranky, cranky mood.

  • I get to post the news about the BUST magazine feature to GCS tonight. (I should have done it last night, but posting it tonight will be a nice treat.)

  • The writing is going well. ::makes slightly-nervous gestures to ward off bad luck, shakes a toy monster about in a menacing fashion::

  • A new fluffy skirt I ordered aaaaaaages ago is on it's way to me. (Yes I know, shallow, but still! New fluffy skirt!)

  • Going dancing this weekend!

  • Vague plans to run amuck this weekend with the Stunt Husband are in the works.

  • Hung out with BlueJay on Sunday night; there was much nattering about fic, silly clothing, and accessories made from metallic pink leather.

  • Speaking of fic, [livejournal.com profile] ethrosdemon posted a new installment! And [livejournal.com profile] jadedpen posted my very late Christmas present!

  • Autumn. Ohhhh, autumn.

  • I'm going to a bunch of concerts in the upcoming months: Cobra Starship, Sisters of Mercy, and Amanda Palmer.

::re-reads list::

I'm in a better mood already. So, what cheering things are going on with you peoples?

Oh my--I'd missed the Amanda Palmer announcement. So thank you!

Pondering SoM. Might just do it this time.

[livejournal.com profile] tolkiencub is my fabulous and darling Gay Stunt Husband. We've been each other's stunt spouses since college. He's my #1 going-out-dancing partner in crime.

That would be me!

It does. Of course now I'm just picturing you in this outfit:

Though not fat.

Vile pornographer. The next time we hug I shall rub my belly-fat against THEE!

Flattery won't help you, even with that adorable ickle face of yours. You'll be able to do a lovely job in a top like that, too. I can hardly wait. I'll remember not to shower for a week.

Those look like booty shorts to go along with it.

I can't read or hear "stunt husband" without imagining of [livejournal.com profile] tolkiencub crashing through a large window.

I am ALSO going to Sisters of Mercy, although across the continent! And not Cobra Starship, but likely The Academy Is..., and also Rise Against / Alkaline Trio.

It is now cool enough for me to wear the Cavalli jacket again.

I had a very encouraging job interview yesterday. Here's hoping!

I have plans to go to the Big E (a county fair on steroids) this week.

And my bedroom is tidier than it's been in months!

I just can't get into TAI. But Cobra Starship makes me laugh and laugh, not to mention that a couple of my other cohorts in crime are big fans. So we're going, and I'm sure wacky hijinks will ensue.

See, for me, the joke wears thin with Cobra Starship pretty fast. But William Beckett can SING. He's one of the few FBR artists whose voice doesn't suffer dreadfully live.

Also, he is very, very pretty.

I've been driving Nibs back & forth to another infusion, and picking up my boy because Nibs can't drive when she's jacked up on steroid.

This weekend's nun plan is Decibel Festival (http://nwtekno.org/vb/showthread.php?threadid=129083&eventid=33894) on Friday, possibly followed by dancing Saturday. After a weekend with Nibsmother I think I have it coming.

A little while ago we caught Squish and Kaga spooning on the bed, with Squish licking the side of Kaga's head.

This is pretty much the only thing that has kept Kaga from being booted out on his ass, as in the past couple of days he has been insanely aggressive (especially to Shylah), and peed all over a bunch of things that aren't the litterbox.

Also, I have not killed anyone yet, which is quite an achievement at this point.

Story of my life. :(

I've been keeping my fingers crossed that you will be exiting Migraine City very very soon.

me too. I wish I could look at part two today, for you, but looking at my email is making my eyes hurt, so I can't. It makes me really really not happy.

Good! I know you thrive on that sort of thing, so I'm very happy for you.

Remember my cute baby weasel? He is slowly being the death of me. I cannot tell you how much drama we have every day. Today he jumped into the bathtub full of cold water - twice. Now he can jump into the dryer. He can jump over the bathroom barricade. He is eating my Aunt Dimity books.

Would anybody like a cute weaselboy, only slightly used?

I'm going to be a doctor!

Yup. That's about it. Work is going great. However, I'm not liking coming home.

Put something better together tomorrow, I know you can, you put together the most lovely outfits.

Oh, thank you!

I am short (5'4"), short waisted, AND rather bosomy. Getting jackets to fit properly is a PAIN. I love long elegant jackets, too, but they frequently just don't work on me.
