Firstly, a HUGE thank you to [livejournal.com profile] minim_calibre and her spouse for all their hard work in helping us reclaim our back yard. It had turned into a meadow, and it probably still would be pretty meadow-like if it weren't for them. I am now on-call for any favor you may need, ever. (And I apologize if Princess Tickybox Squeakaboo is still singing the "Ducks go quack quack quack!" song. I didn't realize she'd latch onto it quite so enthusiastically.)

BPAL Dilemma: I have a bottle of the very Limited Edition Crumpet Rebellion, from the Phoenix Parade event at C13. It doesn't work on me AT ALL. (It smells like stale kettle corn. Ew.) While I know there's a market for it on eBay, I don't want to go that route, because that would be kind of against the whole spirit of the Phoenix Parade and why Beth created Crumpet Rebellion in the first place. What would be perfect is if I could trade it for a couple of bottles of Beaver Moon or Pink Moon 2005, but I don't know if I'd be able to find anyone who wanted to do a trade like that. [livejournal.com profile] coulrophobe? [livejournal.com profile] brumbjorn? Any ideas?

Shallow Fashion Details:

  • Cupcake pink-with-black-trim leather pointy toe flats.

  • Black micro-weave fishnets with little dots.

  • Knee-length black ruffled skirt with a bustle-y collection of ruffles in the back, worn over knee-length pink petticoats. All the ruffles on the skirt have been trimmed in cupcake pink satin ruffled trim, for extra floof and pinkness.

  • Black lace faux-Victorian high-collared blouse, with a pink & black skull cameo brooch at the neck.

  • A fitted jacket in black cotton eyelet, with pink buttons. (I'm particularly proud of this jacket, because when I bought it, it was two sizes too large and kinda shapeless. I tailored it into a cute hour-glassy jacket that fits correctly over my floofy skirts.)

  • Jewelry: Antique miniature pocketwatch necklace, pink glass pearl earrings, the aforementioned skull cameo, and the usual rings.

  • Hair down and no hat, because I am still reveling in my new haircut. (Shoulder-length, with some layers around my face, but the traditional batwing-shape bangs.)

  • Makeup: YSL Touch Eclat as concealer; a smidge of YSL Perfect Touch foundation on my nose; MAC "whistle" (pale pale pink) all over my eyelids, with MAC "don't be shy" blush used in the crease (and yes, I know it's a blush, but it's the perfect shade of candy pink AND safe to use on my eyelids); black liquid liner on the top and bottom, TooFaced Lash Injection mascara, and NARS "Scarlett Empress" lipstick.

  • My Cute! New! Purse! that I finished customizing over the weekend, which is a vintage A-frame style handbag in cupcake pink vinyl. It is now decorated with a large silver and black bat brooch and a black silk bow.
