I haven't done any present-finding for my parents, partially because I have NO CLUE what to get them, partially because they just only gave me some suggestions.

None of the presents I DO have for various people are wrapped yet.

I have pretty much given up on the idea of doing any holiday baking.

Usually the holidays don't make me feel this scattered. Maybe tonight I'll wrap presents while watching Buffy.

I'm with you.

I am both horrified and delighted that Christmas is like eight days away and will be over soon. We're not doing ANYTHING for it in the Weaselmom household this year; no tree, no nothing. Too much debt, too much rain, too little motivation. I learned some years ago that no matter what you do, how much or how little you throw yourself into the season, December 26 always--blessedly--comes.

How about we each grab a liter of Bailey's, a pillow, a blankie, and the plushie of choice and retire to our respective closets* until January 2?

My mom says that in the Goode Olde Days they didn't actually wrap presents. They were just There under the tree on Christmas morning. Of course, she also says that her mom and dad had to put UP the tree on Christmas Eve along with assembling bicycles and whatnot into the wee hours. Maybe you could just put everybody's presents There under your tree on Christmas morning? Maybe not.

Anyway, I feel your pain. I'm not doing any holiday baking either. ::insert peals of laughter::

*Hmm. I've seen your closet, and mine's no better. Maybe we should retire to someone else's closets.

I'm all in favor of not wrapping things, even though I worked in retail for four Christmas seasons and can now wrap anything rectangular in less than a minute. Books are faster, 'cause they're small.

Despite this, Chris got one of his presents early and unwrapped because I couldn't get the box over the threshold without his assistance.

Big box o' present?

::think think think::

A really big car part? Can't really see it, though, because the whole Karmann Ghia is about the size of an end table.

A big piece of Tupperware for one of the cycles?

Or is it...could it be...something in a really tall box?

Re: Big box o' present?

Yeah, it was a pretty long box. Not as long as, say, a refractive box would have been, but way longer than a Cassegrain box. It was about a 10" Dobsonian box.
