Yes, TWO posts in one month! Madness, I know.

Of Cross-Generational Concert Etiquette; or Kids Today and Their Loud Music

You know the drill by now, Snarklings. Please go forth and tell everyone about the new post!

A big thank you to [livejournal.com profile] staxxy for being a splendid proof-reader. A loud "Squeeee!" and flailing devil-horn hand gestures to [livejournal.com profile] minim_calibre and [livejournal.com profile] bluejay23 for being my companions at the concert that inspired this particular post.

What a coincidence! I stayed up late the other night because I was fascinated by an online guide to Surviving a General Admission Concert at www.moshing.org.

Goodbye Cruel Internets!

No, I'm not saying goodbye, but I was reminded of that particular lesson after reading this post on a news blog I frequent: http://www.opednews.com/articles/opedne_todd_huf_070617_on_writing_in_the_ag.htm

I am actually rather disappointed he's taking his toys and leaving, since he's one of the better writers on that site. I would've left favorable comments to his news posts that I've enjoyed, except there is some incompatibility between the site and my browser such that clicking the button to leave a comment crashes my browsers (both Safari and Firefox). Maybe all his fans are fellow Mac users, and only his detractors can send mail?

I go to many concerts, some of the large stadium or outdoor festival variety. My main desire from the younger generation is that they learn how to drink. I do not find having phrases such as "You're the shit" and "I love you" screamed in my vicinity attractive, and I'm even less impressed by people who throw up on my shoes. I would be among the more aged members of the audience, and it is quite possible that one reason I stare at some members of the audience is my desire to not repeat the latter experience.
