I'm looking to get some good-quality business cards printed up, but I don't know where to go. I'd rather not go to Kinko's; I've used them in the past, and haven't been terribly impressed with the quality.

I'm looking for someplace that will have good-quality paper stock (yes, preferably in pale pink, how clever of you to have guessed), and that will be able to work with an image file that I give them (because of COURSE I'm having [livejournal.com profile] stroppy_baggage design the cards for me). I'd like to have them sooner rather than later, but I NEED them by mid-May.

So. Suggestions?

overnightprints.com

I've done a bunch of cards for different people there.

They can do double-sided, glossy or non, and rounded corners.

They have templates for cards and you can preview online to make sure you design works.

I'll second them -- I've used overnight for 2 rounds of Real Travels cards, great prices, good quality.

I second this.

They've done mighty fine work for Cheapass Games, and they do business cards in (I believe) weekly batches, so the turnaround should be pretty quick.

Re: I second this.

Oh, and it's All Color Printing, 214 Washington Avenue North, Kent, WA 98032. Ph:(253) 850-5671, or toll-free (800)810-5020, website www.allcolorprinting.com

And (if such things matter to you) they *are* a union shop.

I'd try Crane & Co. Paper Makers, (http://www.crane.com/) at Pacific Place. 206-264-9500

I second this, as Crane is one of the great names in personal papers. I was happy with my stationery!

My bf works for Print Time in downtown Seattle. My business cards are freakin' beautiful, and he could hopefully/probably hook you up with whatever you needed. What is the price range, and how many cards are you looking for?

Hey you! I hear this rumor it's your birthday. :) If so, many happy returns!

If your bf could help me out, that would be wonderful. I'll figure out number & budget and send you mail.

It was yesterday, but I loves me all birthday wishes!
Please do send me mail, and I'll have A take a look and see what can be done.

My sis gets cards printed beautifully by some on-line place. She's a designer so just emails them the final design work and they set it for her, print, cut, snail mail to her. I'll get the name by tomorrow.

Phoenix Media printed my VMB tickets this year. It's $95 for 1000 and no sales tax. The turnover time is 24hrs and they ship. Katie is thinking of getting her business cards printed there.
