Hey, local computer-geek types! I don't suppose any of you have a computer sitting around that you're not using anymore (because you upgraded or something)? The parents' computer is dying, and I told Mom I'd ask.

I don't really expect to get a "Yes, I do! Here, take it away!" answer, but hey! It *could* happen.
