I still have no time to really catch up on LJ, so as always, if there's something you think I should know, tell me here or in e-mail. It still looks like I'm going to have to work part of the weekend, but at least I'll be able to do it remotely from home.

Because I am *very* pleased with my outfit today,

  • Shocking pink velvet pointy-toe flats with bows.

  • Pink fishnets worn over B&W stripy tights.

  • A black satin-finish cotton dress from Target.com: v-neck, fitted through the bust & waist (oooh, midriff bands make my waist look tiny!), full knee-length skirt. Worn, of course, over a fluffy pink petticoat. I love this dress. I love this dress so much that I have sent mail to Target.com asking when they will have more in stock, because my size is sold out (and completely sold out of the white version, which I was thinking about buying to dye it pale pink). I am seriously considering scouring eBay for it. But yes, fabulous dress.

  • A black stretchy bolero/shrug cardigan that has a v-neck, 3/4 sleeves, 5 tiny black buttons up the front, and is trimmed with a line of silver beads AND a narrow lace ruffle around the neckline, hem, and cuffs.

  • An enormous black-on-black Bakelite cameo pendant, hanging from a choker made from pink velvet ribbon and black lace.

  • Hair pulled back into a high ponytail and secured with two frilly black lace hairties.

  • Makeup is a light dusting of Aromaleigh Voile powder in L1, MAC black liquid liner, DiorShow black mascara, and Aromaleigh "grenadine" lipstick. Oh, and glasses instead of contacts (the deadline demons scoff at contacts).

... It took me an hour to write this entry, in between reviewing and accepting changes to documents. I cannot wait until this deadline emergency is over.

I did, and I had forwarded it to The Husband, because I had no time to reply yesterday. I'll try and sneak in a reply now. :)

Also, I did not see an "online only" tag on the item--if this is it, I'd be happy to check the Target store in Eureka for the right size. I was going to go there this weekend anyhow.

Eeeee! Yes, that is indeed the dress! (Why did I think it was online only? Curious.)

If you are going to your local(ish) Target this weekend, I would be thrilled if you could look for it in a size 14.

No luck at the local Target. However, the clerk said that if it hasn't gone on clearance, Target.com does restock and to keep checking for the size you need.

I'm very surprised that the Goth fashion trend is still going strong. There were some Victorian-ish jackets and skirts that would've tempted me if the sizes were right.
