Because [profile] collapseylamb asked

(And because I'm taking a quick break from work to eat dinner.)

She wanted all the details of what is on my charm bracelet.

When I decided to make myself a charm bracelet, I went through ALL my stashes of shiny things, including single earrings. When I say enormous and very jingly, I'm not kidding. :)

it was on a traditional chain-type bracelet, but I just recently switched it to a solid silver key-ring style. That way when I want to add new charms or rearrange it, I just have to unscrew a large silver ball at one end.

(All of the charms are, of course, silver)

- A rose quartz crystal
- A bat hanging from garnet & rose quartz beads
- Stitch (from Lilo & Stitch, and yes, I bought the charm at Disneyland)
- A lion-esque gargoyle
- A black & silver corset
- A clear quartz ball with a tiny silver snake wrapped around it
- A black oval glass bead that has a raised skull & crossbones design (there are two of these)
- A coffin with a designs taken from an 18th century tombstone (there are two of these, also)
- A broom
- A tiny black & white cameo set in a silver frame
- An ankh sitting between Art Deco lilies
- A skull (with a hinged jaw)
- A tiny key that says "Presto"
- A silver heart that chimes if you shake it
- A different type of silver key
- A disk with "zzz" engraved on it
- A box to keep wishes in
- An acorn made from a pearl bead
- A cat
- The second of the skull & crossbones beads
- An Eye of Horus
- Alice (from Alice in Wonderland), who is holding a tiny cup of tea
- The second of the coffins
- A Jack o' lantern
- A tiny Celtic knot-work cross
- The Space Needle (I just found this one at a yard sale recently)
- A hinged set of vampire teeth (yes, silver vampire teeth. What?)
- An enameled shield for Whitby, England (yes, because of the Dracula reference)
- A teeny-tiny bat

Yours sounds delightful! You inspired me to list my own. Shall we share and compare in SF? It's almost as much fun to look at someone else's charm bracelet as it is to find things to add to one's own. We need to look for a Golden Gate charm to add!

Lovely bracelet. I'll have to look at it more closely next time I see you.

Just checking since I missed your sale. Do you have anything left over in the size 18 range? *Hope, Hope, Hope*

You are so, so cute. Cute, I tell you!

I like charm bracelets but I catch them in my hair and my clothes all the time, so I've given up on them. Wah!

So, anything in particular that prompted the cute comment, or just my general wacky cartoon nature in general? :)

I don't wear my charm bracelet all the time because of it getting caught on lace trim, hair, petticoats, and everything else, but when I DO wear it, I'm getting better about not becoming entangled, thank goodness.

Actually, the "cute" comment was because the cut tag you used made me laugh, but the list, including the tiny bat, was also cute - only you could pull together a gothic charm bracelet!

I lost 2 of my favorite charms due to catching on things. 1. a sterling silver with enamle pink poodle skirt with a black poodle. 2. a sterling silver with enamle black urban cowboy hat with a red rose on it. Sigh...

You wrote: "A tiny key that says "Presto"

oh, my that is so ... :) Charming! If I have a charm bracelet again, I will definitely have a key, preferably one that looks like an old skeleton key. But "Presto"... that takes the cake :)

The best thing is, I have no idea where it's from. It's some sort of mini skeleton key (possibly for a luggage lock or something similar), but I don't know when or where I got it.

What a good idea! I have many earrings where I have lost one but have kept the other - gone are the days in the 80's/early 90's where you could wear mis- matched earrings so creating a charm bracelet out of them is a great idea!
