The new house (yay!) has a long hallway on the main floor that runs all the way from the front door/eventual library to the other end of the house. (And right past my office.) We knew Vlad would be ecstatic for more space to run and careen around in, but the fact that Erzabet, my round dumpling of a kitty, is doing the same is kind of mind-blowing. Multiple times a day, even!
Now if she'd just play chase with her brother, instead of scampering up and down the hallway, then getting affronted with him when he thinks it's playtime.

Today I had to be up at a ridiculously early (for me) time for a big training thing. Because things kicked off at 8am and attendees were expected to be on camera, that meant the alarm went off at 6:45, I got to have two snoozes, and then it was get up, take meds, have food and coffee, and put on makeup. The training was "Insights"; yet another "Identify your personality traits and communication types! Learn to identify what ones your coworkers are, and use those insights to increase communication!" corporate horoscope thing that HR departments love. I hate those sorts of things because if you are the slightest bit self-aware, you can predict what your outcome will be. Yes, training person, I am well aware that I am a Helping Inspirer and am not an introverted data-driven observer. And because I have spent a good chunk of my corporate and personal lives learning how to communicate with people who are Not Like Me, I know how to adjust my communication styles for people who ARE introverted data-driven observers.
Oh, and then I had 4.5 more hours of meetings across the day, leading to a grand total of seven (7!) hours of meetings. I'm about halfway through right now, and I am not a happy goth. At all. Ah, the dark side of being a manager: all the meetings.
