Stop procrastinating, Self.
Stop procrastinating, Self.
STOP PROCRASTINATING AND WRITE THE DAMN GCS POST.
---
Anyway, I've been vaguely thinking I should back up my Tumblr, but apparently the reliable way to do it involves command line stuff and ... Python? Anyway, something a bit beyond my tech skills.
Today (the 17th) is the beginning of the Tumblr Content Flagging nonsense, and hoo-boy, the algorithms they're using for it are spectacularly bad. Did you know gifs of tiny fuzzy kittens are inappropriate? I'm kind of looking forward to logging into Tumblr tomorrow and seeing what posts of mine have been flagged, because it'll probably be hilarious.
Also, the Tumblr staff has doubled down on the wording around what they're doing: "[...] female presenting (yeah, we know you hate that term) nipples" No, Tumblr, the term is not the problem. There are a host of other problems and complaints your users have. Including the fact that you're cracking down on "explicit" or "inappropriate" content, but hey, white power content is a-ok!
Don't get me wrong, I like aspects of Tumblr, but their staff and policies are not included in that.
