Happy-making things

It's been a kind of mumph-ish couple of weeks for myself and many people I'm fond of. (Actually, for some of you, "mumph-ish" is a HUGE understatement.) So! Remember that "8 days of things that make you happy" meme-thingamie that went around LJ over the holidays? Yeah, I'm resurrecting it. Because it sounds like a REALLY good idea. I'm not going to tag anyone, and you don't have to participate if you don't want to, but I know that it will be good for my mood.

Things That Make Me Happy, Day the First:

- I am wearing the military jacket that mineke made for me out of black wool & dark pink skull brocade. I don't wear this jacket nearly enough, considering how much I love it. (There may be a camera-phone SFD photo later. Maybe.)

- Hey, Coraline comes out this week! I love the book, and I've been looking forward to the movie for aaaaaages.

- I spent yesterday in the company of wonderful people, eating very tasty food.

- The new video for MCR's cover of "Desolation Row" makes me flail my hands and grin.
