I'm of two minds about this. On the one hand, it's nice not to be called a child-eating Satan worshipper for a change. On the other hand, will goths have to beat the plastic social climbers away with sticks? Any more than usual, that is.

I'm pleased to see three things not commonly pointed out: 1) There are many goth professionals 2) goth teens aren't typically hooligans 3) goth morphs, but it's always there to some degree.

If you mean channel 12 on Comcast, unless something's changed in either their lineup or in what KBTC is running (and I seriously doubt the latter), that's "EastEnders."

CBC (Canadian TV) used to run "Coronation Street" on weekends. I have no idea if they still do as we don't get CBC with a dish.

Oh, wow. I used to watch Coronation Street with my mom when I was a kid... Are any local (or at least American cable) channels showing it these days? I'd LOVE to see a goth couple on that show!

no american cable, but if you're close enough to the canadian border there's this from the corrie wikipedia entry:

American viewers in the parts of the northern U.S. can view CBC's Coronation Street telecasts. In particular, cable TV subscribers in places including Seattle, Buffalo, parts of Michigan and New Hampshire are able to view the programme on CBC affiliates. Other Americans near the Canadian border can view the program via over-the-air reception from nearby CBC transmitters.

Ah, yes. I believe we used to watch it on Canadian Channel 2, CBUT, which is Vancouver's CBC station. i think I get that on my cable...
