Random Babbly Update

The weather lately has been perfect: grey and blustery. The weather could stay like this straight into next spring (with rain every couple of days or so) and I would be very happy. Not only is the majority of my clothing velvet (both regular and stretch velvet), but brightbright sun and high temperatures seem to be migraine triggers for me. Yes, I must avoid the sun. I am that goth.

minim_calibre would be very proud of me, as I spent part of the afternoon weeding the front flower bed and pruning the rose bush that was trying to see if it could grow vines long enough to entrap people walking on the front stairs. I didn't manage a thorough weeding job, but the fact that I even attempted it at all is a positive step away from my black thumb status.

Er, what else? I'm going to see the Cure next week (yaaaaaay!). I made a circle skirt out of vine-embossed black velvet, and want to make one out of red stretch velvet. I've been trying out different recipes. If the weather stays lovely and gloomy, I may bake gingerbread bats soon.
