But I waaaaants it. Oh, how I wants it. Clicky link: Bone Casket handbag from Alchemy Gothic.

Oh, stop giving me that look. Yes, I have a some coffin handbags already. And yes, I'm still trying to figure out how to add a shoulder strap to my mirror-finish Lucite coffin purse1, because while I want to carry it again, I really shouldn't use purses that don't have shoulder straps. But you have to admit, the Bone Casket handbag is very very pretty. 2

1 Note To Self: show the mirror-finish Lucite coffin bag to your more handy-craft & power-tool -savvy friends. Betcha one of them would be able to figure out a solution to that problem, yes indeedy.

Craft stores often have hardware for making purses--including straps, and the hardware to fasten them onto the purse. Drilling holes in plastic without any "oops!" is harder than it looks, so find someone who's good at props etc. to do it, don't just borrow a drill.

As of a few weeks ago, I can't honestly give you that look. In fact, I was just thinking that I need to google for net or sheer gloves.

Oooh, that is rather nice. I concurr, things adorned festooned with bats are wonderful.

Also, I have a fashion-y question for you. I detest turtle necks. Abhor the things. They make me feel claustrophobic. I love the look of the high-collar shirts like the one in your LJ background and that you wore to SnB last week. Is there any hope for me being able to wear such garments? Is there a middle-ground I'm unaware of?

A middle ground? Hmmmm. Practice by wearing lots of choker-style necklaces?

You could also get one or two high-collared, button-up blouses, and wear them with the top button undone. (Or a couple buttons undone, so you have the look of the high ruffled collar, but open enough down the front to wear a necklace and not feel strangled.)

All of mine come from thrift stores, with occasional purchases from places like Newport News, when they're dabbling in New Victorian.

Lucky. I can find skirts at thrift stores, but that's about it.

No looks from this direction. It's adorable.

By the way, you were looking for granny boots the other day. I just ordered these in black. Nothing spectacular, but they seem sturdy and good for daily wear.

Hmm hmm hmm. I really like the fittings, but I'm not wild about the box itself. I think you already have much nicer coffin purses, and you know I'm not one to stand in the way of the acquisition of more coffins or bats. How can we get our mitts on just the fittings, I wonder?
