Remember when I said that I was taking my Perfect Granny Boots (that I've had for 13 or so years) to my shoe repair guy, in the hopes that he could give them new life? He did indeed resucitate them, and I was delighted ...

Until I discovered that the toes aren't totally water-tight. If I wear these boots out in the rain (or go walking on very wet ground), my toes get damp. Grrrr and hmph.

I am eyeing these boots (yes, clicky link to amazon.com). Of course, Amazon doesn't have my size in stock, but Renton Western Wear does. Now I just need to get the $100 + tax together, which leads to ...

A wardrobe sale! I was planning on culling the velvet-y side of the closet anyway, now I just know what I'll be putting the money toward. (Of course, if any of you happen to have a pair of black, lace-up, vaguely-Victorian-looking boots in a size 8.5 that have a block or Western style of heel that is no higher than 2" that you've been trying to find a good home for, just let me know!)
