I need to figure out how to make my own iPod case. Because I really should have some sort of NeoVictorian/steampunk case for Candylike the iPod. Perhaps when I'm on my 100-day break from contract work, I'll experiment w/ making such a thing.
hmmm..I was searching through my tubs of stuff looking for some patchwork stuff and found a small lozenges box full of old watch bits - like pocketwatch brass fittings...I could pop a few of those in your box of goodies currently being assembled...they'd have a nice steampunk feel - plus have a bunch of electrical components from the days of valves as well - all pretty stripey colours
I liked the box and found it in a junk shop for a quid or so...had no idea what was in it till later...hang on s tick - let me grab the camera...

would you like some of them, and I'll keep my eye open for any more...as for old electrical components, I have literally drawers full of them from when my Dad was a tv repairman so stuff dates back to the 60's
I have a handmade iPod case (I didn't make it) that I love. It has a swivel handstrap, pocket for headphones, and a clear little window. I can show you sometime to give you some ideas?
