I had plans to go to the spa today, and spend my day with very good friends while lounging around in heated pools. Sadly, biology decided to put a cramp crimp in those plans. So instead, I will putter around the house and get a bunch of small sewing chores done. (
stroppy_baggage is off gaming. I hope he's having fun, because he's been looking forward to it.)

Okay, off I go to sew buttons and add trim to things.
Things discovered while getting bits & bobs together for the sewing projects:
- I have a lot of black fabric-covered buttons in various sizes. This is good, because I didn't feel like taking a bus to & from a fabric store with a decent selection of buttons. (Sadly, the fabric store two blocks from my house doesn't have much in the way of interesting buttons. Or interesting fabric. Lots of yarn, however.)
- I now fit into a couple of jackets and a vintage dress that I bought three or four years ago, n a bout of optimism that they would eventually fit me. Well, they do, just a bit later than I had hoped. But yay, this sooths my craving for new(ish) clothes!
- I've lost enough weight that Miss Lucinda, my trusty fitting double/mannequin is larger than me. This makes me both happy and a little freaked out. I am going to need to replace her in the near future; I don't suppose any of you would be interested in buying her, would you? She's one of those fit-doubles that has dials to adjust the bust, waist, and hip measurements, and has been immensely helpful to me for a few years now.
Okay, off I go to sew buttons and add trim to things.

I am instead occupying myself by dealing with all the laundry that's built up over way too long a time.
I am beginning to think I have too much clothing. Yes, I know, but it really has gotten to that point.
And there are still two boxes of "to be mended/dyed" to be dealt with.
However, doing these things definitely has the "hey, new clothing without spending money!" effect.

2) Do you think Miss Lucinda could be adjusted to mimic me? If so, I'm interested.

2. Unless we pad you to have a 44" bustline, probably not.
