I tried using the "Tribal Basics vol. 1" belly dance tape I bought yesterday. My body does not move like that. Maybe, with dedicated practice, it will eventually. But right now? I am a clumsy moo-cow. I'm finding solace in the fact that, yes indeedy, it is a form of aerobic exercise.
What possessed me to work out when it's a bazillion degrees even after the sun has gone down? Oh, that's right - the chorus of body image demons in the back of my head.
I think I'm going to look at the WW site again, and make up my mind as to whether or not I'm going to join.

I have some friends who've had great sucess with it. However, grlykitty (bless her heart), suggested I check out fitday.com first. Which I probably will do.

I am happy that just moving more in general has been helping tremendously for me. I have gone from around a size 22 to a size 16/18, more towards 16 than 18. :D But, not yet *enough* towards 16 that the size 16 clothes are *that* comfy... but those knickers I wore last week are a 16. :D
That and I have been pursuing multiple avenues for protein each day instead of just meat. I have been eating a lot more edamame (soy beans). I go back and forth with drinking soda, but I drink a lot less soda than I used to as well.
I am not making super fast progress, but I am not looking for it either. I just want to gradually shrink. If I go down an inch every other month I am happy, more than that and I am thrilled. :D
See you friday, and since I am not starting until the 1st I can come down in the afternoon and we can watch TOTORO!!!! ;)
