It turns out I DO have Monday off, so I'm thinking of going to the Vogue on Sunday night. Which means, yes, I'm looking for a ride there & back. Any of the Usual Suspects wanna go?







In other news, my inner 16-year old has taken control of the iPod again. It's either All Placebo, All The Time! or All HIM, All The Time! Yes, pretty pretty men in eyeliner with guitars, singing about angst and how they love me SO much it's killing them. Why no, I have no claims to having really good taste in music, thanks for pointing that out. Whee!

I always feel mildly embarassed by my fascination with the band HIM. I mean, They're Gawthic PopRAWK! silliness, and almost every song they do is about how the lead vocalist loves you so much he'd die for you, how you don't return his love and it's killing him, or how your love is so perfect that the two of you should leave this tawdry earth and ascend to heaven. Total tortured BabyGoth silliness, and I adore it. (Of course, it helps that the lead singer is *gorgeous*, and wears a lot of eyeliner.)

The choker I'm wearing in the icon is from ArtWith Latex Designs (http://www.artwithlatex.com/). It takes over a month to get anything you order from them (much like BPAL), but they have some gorgeous stuff. I'm thinking of getting a second choker from them.

I have an HIM cd but it's failed to get through to me, which always makes me feel like I missed a meeting. "But... but... shouldn't I be totally into this?" I agree, Ville's a lovely man. Lovely. Lovely. Really, really lovely. I, too, have That Taste In Music -- I'm a Crüxshadows freak. Are they goth? Electro? EBM? Who cares! When I saw them, Rogue sang my favorite of his songs right at me, and he smelled like sandalwood. Aieeee...

Oh, hell. That would have to be latex. Guess who's kinda allergic? :( These are so, so fabulous, though.

Don't worry, almost all of my friends AND my darling husband missed the meeting on HIM. I keep having to remind them that I hung around with a LOT of hair-metal people. Lots and lots and lots. So really, over-the-top gothy power ballads kinda work for me.

I, on the other hand, missed the meeting on Cruxshadows.
