When I was in middle school I used to literally search my yard and the neighbors' yards looking for one. Still without one at this time. I am thinking I need to grow a pot of clover and see what happens.
Then I met this lady calling herself princessmoonbeam and discovered that she had the power to blink and nifty stuff would appear like magic. Hmmm. Must find the source of that. :)
A very very very VERY long time ago I was walking with some classmates between buildings at school, and something compelled me to reach into the grass. There was a four-leaf clover in my hand when I straightened up again. I have never since been similarly compelled. (I no longer have it...it got sent off to someone else ages ago.)
That said, I'm going with the radiation theory too.
I've gone in spates of finding them in our yard. And they do seem to all grow in one confined area. One summer it was the left side of the driveway, another it was the patch of grass by the back garage. I found five in one day in that patch. I seem to have lost the trick of seeing them among the three-leafed ones and the grass blades, though. I haven't found one in several years, and all the ones I did find were given away.

Maybe you're gifted. My friend's G-mother could just point to a spot in the lawn, and there a four-leaf clover would be.

Uncle Bill's matter/anti-matter core must be leaking ozone again. Can you look for a two-headed frog for me? :-)
