I know the general consensus is that a person should stick to the same sleep schedule and not sleep in because it ... something something you can't make up for sleep deprivation doing that something something. But let me tell you, I feel a lot better when I sleep for 10+ hours on the weekend. If I don't, I do feel the lack of that sleep during the rest of the week.
All of this to say I slept for 12 hours on Saturday and Sunday, and it was lovely.

My birthday on Friday was fantastic! Delicious food and cake, and hanging out with good friends to watch and cackle in amazement at what is possibly my favorite terrible movie, Vampire Journals. Imagine filming someone's first vampire LARP, but set in a gorgeous location. It is mind bogglingly terrible, and I love it.
Anyway, this is 55.

Generalisations are exactly that - generalisations. Everybody has to do what works for them. I really wish I could still sleep in at the weekends like I did when I was younger, but unfortunately my brain now wakes me at work time whether it's a work day or not...
