Due to the Stroppy One and I being a little adrift in time, we realized the Edwardian themed wedding we're attending is in, um, two weeks. However we'd already made plans to hit Fabrics For Less on Saturday, so we put the Madwoman in the car and headed to Renton. I bought 22 yards of that fuchsia fabric, muha ha ha!

The Madwoman, because she is massively talented and insane, said that she can whip together an Edwardian jacket, skirt, and a new waistcoat for the Stroppy One in two weeks, no problem. I am agog at her talent.

I'm breaking in a new off-the-rack corset from Orchard Corsets. It fits perfectly in the waist, hips, and is the correct torso length. The bust, on the other hand, is too big no matter what. So tonight I'm going to carefully add some darts via basting, try the thing on, and see if that makes a difference. This is an odd problem for me to have.

Shoulderpads and rolled-up washcloths if you need to fill things out.

I think I need a refresher on the folks in your life. I am familiar with the Stroppy One but I realize I lack context on the Madwoman. :D

I'm having the same problem with said wedding: none of Wade's Edwardian/Victorian clothing fit.

How many liters of coffee does the Madwoman drink per day? Even if she never makes any mistakes, something that I've never managed on a nontrivial project, sewing takes tiiiime.
