 The Cure show was last night, and it was AMAZING. The best sound quality I have *ever* experienced at a live show, which is not something I would have expected at an arena that is also home to sporting events. 

They played an assortment of new material from the upcoming album (!!!), plus old favorites. They didn't play my #1 favorite - Plainsong - but they did play A Night Like This and The Edge of the Deep Green Sea, which mostly made up for it. Mostly. 

If the new songs they played are any indication, the new album will be fantastic, and sounds like it'll be a return to the glory days of Disintegration. 

As is usual with big "I'm leaving the house!" events these days, I went all out. Swirlygoth clothes, big hair, swirly eyeliner.






An aside about Big Hair: I tried out Got2Be's "Glued" hairspray, and I am not impressed. I know how to Big Hair, and despite much backcombing and spraying, my hair wilted by the end of the night. G-D I miss 80s-90s era Extra Super Hold AquaNet.

Glued, like most Got2Be stuff, is really best when used for things like keeping lace laid when wearing a wig. (It's great for that.)

That arena is basically new and was built from the ground up with the expectation that it would host concerts as well as sportsing, so good sound was almost certainly part of the planning. I can hear the PA person clearly during hockey games, with surprising clarity even during crowd noise, which is rare and wondrous.

I am so glad the show was a great experience.

The concert sounds great - I've been to some with terrible sound, unfortunately. I love your hair, almost as much as I love your mask - such a great match for the outfit, and more than a little bit Hannibal XD
