Vampire Ball is Saturday. I actually feel ... mostly prepared? Yeah, mostly.
(Yes, Maura, I owe you a text. I'll do that later this afternoon.)
Both my batwing hem jackets are finished and are GLORIOUS. The Madwoman in the Attic outdid herself. The skirts of the jackets equal more than 1.5 circles in circumference, wheeee!
Tonight is the test run of the outfit with both jackets.
- Black multi-layer ruffled skirt made from glittery bat chiffon, worn over a small hoop skirt.
- Either the fuchsia or black & silver jacket, with a corset underneath.
-Black sequined jabot with an antique rhinestone buckle, AB crystal beads rosary with an ankh in place of the crucifix.
-Black wide-brimmed hat with impressive vintage ostrich plumes and rhinestones everywhere.
-Fishnet gloves studded with rhinestones. (I'm going to cut the tips of the fingers off, because I have fancy sparkly fake nails to apply.)
Like I said, I feel pretty confident. But a prayer circle to ward off the Body Image Demons would be appreciated.
