Yesterday the migraine was BAD. I woke up with it being the ongoing muscle spasm migraine, but then a sinus migraine AND "classic" migraine decided to join in. I struggled through two meetings, then tapped out for the day. It's a good thing I did, because nothing touched it; by mid-afternoon I was in a similar level of pain as the time I went to Urgent Care over a migraine. (Never doing that again. All they did was give me IV fluids, Tylenol, and Benadryl.)

Proof my team and boss are awesome: I warned folks at the start of the week that I would be kind of scattered because of the growing migraine, but I'm scheduled for my shots next week and will be better. Everyone has been nagging me to drop off early. I'm trying to listen to them.

Am I giving fervent thanks that the new house has a large Jacuzzi soaking tub? Oh hell yes.

Its been a rough week for us too. This chain of storms (yes, its been multiple storms and not just the one long one) has just been hell.

Sorry you're having such trouble with the migraines. The rizatriptan works really well for me (in combination with HRT because the peri-menopause sucks - mine were getting worse and worse until I got the oestradiol patches) but it must be awful to have to live with them if you're not finding an effective solution :-( It's good that your work people are understanding at least, but it's not even close to a way to fix them. Hope it's easing off and you're able to relax for the weekend.

I get several types of headache that can go migraine, so I sympathize. Once one begins, it's SO dang hard to shake it. And pain meds don't work for me.

Exposure to bright light migraine? Darkness, wet cloths over the eyes, cold helps

Allergies & sinus flare up migraines? Nasarel helps, steamy showers, Benadryl helps

Stress & muscle tension? Massage & warmth helps

Some caffeine helps. Higher humidity/steam tends to help. Trying to sleep helps, as does massage - possibly because it shows someone cares.

I hope the pain eases for you ASAP!!

That said, I am THRILLED that you have a glorious jacuzzi tub! What a relief!
