- Yesterday was my 54th birthday! We didn't do much to celebrate, because of buying a new house and oh G-D packing, but we did go out to dinner with friends. Friends over on Twitter gave me vampire AU Hannigram treats: a short ficlet, and two pieces of gorgeous art. (I need to copy the ficlet to Google Drive or something, in case Twitter implodes overnight.)
- Speaking of Twitter imploding: everyone is scattering, and finding my usual Twitter folks is going to be hard. I really don't like Mastodon - it isn't intuitive AT ALL, and I do not understand how the multiple instances/servers can talk to each other.
- My pink leather motorcycle jacket arrived! I have put the pins on it; the next step is figuring out the placement/spacing for writing the quotes down the arms. "She herself is a haunted house" will be easy, it's the MCR lyric of "Oh how wrong we were to think that immortality meant never dying" that will be tricky. "I know what kind of crazy I am" (Hannibal reference!) will go across the lower back waistband. Mind you, all of this also relies on the Stroppy One digging out the paint pens for me. There's no point to me buying a set when he has so many for signing M:tG cards.

Everybody I follow, regardless of server, shows up on my "home" page feed.
Now that I've got that sorted... I kind of don't worry about how the servers talk to each other? I figure, if the washing machine works, I'm happy. So to speak.
It IS a piss-off that I can't (yet?) look at other people's Following lists. That would make it much easier to find people. The whole "Follow Friday" thing is probably going to be useful as we all try to find each other again.
